After searching long and hard, and going through some pretty rubbish palettes, I have found my two holy grail eyeshadow palettes that are pigmented enough for brown skin and compliment my skin tone perfectly!
I’ve included an example look from each palette to show the pigment, and starred the shadows I used in the palette. My eyeshadow skills really aren’t amazing, and my looks could be a lot more adventurous, but I hope it simply shows that the shadows have so much potential and do an amazing job even with me!
Before going in with my eyeshadow, I use the Benefit ‘Stay Don’t Stray’ Eye Primer (£22.00) which completely stops my eye creasing altogether!
This was the first ‘high-end’ eyeshadow palette I bought and it is gorgeous!
The palette comes with 12 warm, browny-pinky shades, ranging from mattes to strong glitters.
The shades are all super pigmented and can be used to create both a spring-time subtle day look, as well as a dark, sultry night-time look. The colours compliment darker skin tones perfectly, and I found really bring out brown eyes.
The look I’ve created below uses Cayenne as a base, He Devil in the crease and taken slightly into the outer corner and Ember as the glitter shadow on top.
This palette comes with 14 shades ranging from nudes to pinks to reds to black. This is a true all-around palette which has glam shades that can be pulled off day or night, but not too intense for the average person.
The eyeshadows are so pigmented and so soft. So, there is quite some fallout, but honestly, it’s such a small sacrifice for such a beautiful palette.
The look I’ve created below uses Rustic as an all over base, Cyprus Umber in the crease, Noir in the outer corner and Bronze as the glitter on top.
