Honestly, removing makeup is one of the worst tasks to do at the end of the day. Couple that with needing sleep and having to tirelessly work through three or four products to completely cleanse my skin and you’ll understand why I jumped at the ad I saw for the ‘Face Halo’.
It’s by far the hottest cheap makeup brand around at the moment, with highly recommended products, so I thought I’d order myself a small bundle to test out Revolution Beauty.
I decided to order from Revolution Beauty’s website, which meant I had access to all their sub-brands and ordered a few products from a lot of them to get a full sense of the brand.
Below is the rundown of what I bought, how much for (at time of purchase) and my take after testing them for almost a month.
*There’s also an up to 50% summer sale on rn (18/6) on some items so it’s a good time to try it out for yourself!!
Face masks are the ultimate pamper session must and I love to try different face masks all the time!
Below is a collection of my absolute favourite face masks that tackle different skin issues and are also at different price points.
After searching long and hard, and going through some pretty rubbish palettes, I have found my two holy grail eyeshadow palettes that are pigmented enough for brown skin and compliment my skin tone perfectly!
I’ve included an example look from each palette to show the pigment, and starred the shadows I used in the palette. My eyeshadow skills really aren’t amazing, and my looks could be a lot more adventurous, but I hope it simply shows that the shadows have so much potential and do an amazing job even with me!
There is one brand who I absolutely adore that I keep coming back to and that is (surprise!) NYX! Although not all my makeup is from there (obvs) I use many of their products in my go-to makeup routine.
Here’s a rundown of my favourite products and let me know if there’s anything you swear by that I need to try out!
I own a ton of lipsticks by NYX, but I’m saving them for a lipstick collection post, so stay tuned!
Choosing a foundation for me is a big task, with my skin type being an issue, as well as my shade. However, one of the foundations I love to use to keep my skin looking matte is The Body Shop Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation in the shade 055 Moluccan Nutmeg.
About the foundation:
- Full coverage
- Matte finish
- Contains tea tree oil
- £10.00 for 30ml
- Comes in a squeezy tube
- 100% Vegan
Eek! My first proper post!
So, I thought I’d go for a classic, staple part of my daily routine which doesn’t have too many steps but is essential to keep my skin looking fresh.
A background on my skin type:
- Combination-to-oily skin
- Acne prone skin
- Sensitive skin
Skincare is obviously very important, and I find with my skin I really do need to take care of it before it goes crazy! Below, you’ll find a step by step breakdown of the products I use, how I use them and where you can get them yourself.
Hi and welcome to my brand new blog!
I’ll keep the intro short and sweet so I can dive straight into the good stuff of this blog.
Here you’ll find lots of reviews, looks, and tips I’ve picked up along the way about makeup and skin care from a 20-year-old brown girl at University with combination-to-oily skin!
