Long-time, no see! Now that I’m done with university and I have a bit more time on my hands, I hope to be doing some more blog posts, woo! My first post back is one that’s taken some time to get to do because I obvs only have one face and only moisturise twice a day. But, here’s my moisturiser low-down on what I’ve been using over the past few months and whether I think it’s oily-combo/acne-prone skin approved.
I have a new skincare fave! I’ve been loyally testing out the Pixi Glow Tonic since it hit Boots and, spoiler, I’m loving it.
It’s always risky for me, with my sensitive and acne-prone skin, to try out new skincare or just change my routine in general. But, thankfully, it really paid off and I would love to recommend it to you guys.
Happy New Year! ‘New year, new me’ I guess as I’m ringing in 2019 with my first ever negative review :o. Unfortunately, this foundation was all types of awful for me…
Really not clickbait guys, I did! I created my own eyeshadow palette that is legit for sale (and you can too!). Find (and purchase) my palettes at my Beautonomy store. If you want to purchase my palette, any singles, or any of the other amazing palettes, purchase through this link and save 20%!
Wow, that was a long break away! I’ve been super busy with uni but I’m finally back to play with makeup!
I recently purchased the Colourpop Super Shock Shadows made in collaboration with Make-A-Wish. At the time I bought them, Colourpop was a risky site to buy from because the shipping costs and customs fees could be huge. After such amazing reviews though, I’ve been desperate to try them. They retail for $5.00 which is about £4.00… bargain. Plus, 20% of the profits from this collection go to Make-A-Wish until 11 Jan 2019.
HOLY GRAIL! This concealer is by far the best concealer I’ve ever used and I have repurchased time and time again. Absolutely the best concealer for using, especially under the eye and I cannot recommend it more.
Facial SPFs are so important to protect our skin in the short and long term, even if the sun isn’t out. But, as a brown girl, it’s hard to find an SPF that doesn’t give a white cast. But, keep reading to find out more about the melanin friendly one!
Honestly, removing makeup is one of the worst tasks to do at the end of the day. Couple that with needing sleep and having to tirelessly work through three or four products to completely cleanse my skin and you’ll understand why I jumped at the ad I saw for the ‘Face Halo’.
It’s by far the hottest cheap makeup brand around at the moment, with highly recommended products, so I thought I’d order myself a small bundle to test out Revolution Beauty.
I decided to order from Revolution Beauty’s website, which meant I had access to all their sub-brands and ordered a few products from a lot of them to get a full sense of the brand.
Below is the rundown of what I bought, how much for (at time of purchase) and my take after testing them for almost a month.
*There’s also an up to 50% summer sale on rn (18/6) on some items so it’s a good time to try it out for yourself!!
Face masks are the ultimate pamper session must and I love to try different face masks all the time!
Below is a collection of my absolute favourite face masks that tackle different skin issues and are also at different price points.
